Traditional Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner

Stuff it and shove it.

Wash the bird.
Take out the giblets and boil them for 10 - 15 minutes.
Cook gizzards for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, make dressing.
Throw away the neck.
Cut up the heart and gizzard and put in the dressing or gravy.
Stuff body and neck cavities.
Sew up cavities.
Melt buttern and pour or brush on the bird.
Place bird in aluminum pan either breast up or breast down (breast down gets more juices to the breast)
Stick the meat thermometer in the breast.
Put aluminum pan on a cookie sheet.
Cook on way bottom rack at 375 degrees.
Bast every half hour.
If it gets too brown, put aluminum foil teepee over the bird.
Take out (after 3 - 4 hours, depends on weight of bird) and let stand for 10 minutes.
