Turkey & Guinness Chili

- Pam spray
- 1, 12 oz. Guinness (any pale ale would also be good)
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 2 cans diced tomatoes, not drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small can diced jalapenos
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch ground allspice
- salt to taste
- 1 avocado, sliced
- cornbread
Spray Pam on a skillet and brown the ground turkey.
Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. You have to taste the beer to make sure it's OK! If it's all good, pour that in the pot, too. Add cooked ground turkey. Cook on high for four hours or on low for eight hours.
Top with seasoned greek yogurt (or Mexican sour cream) and sliced avocado. Serve with cornbread.
Seasoned greek yogurt:
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Mix all ingredients well. Plop a dollop on your chili.
